The Therapy Matters Campaign March 2024 Overview The Therapy Matters is a visual and emotional campaign designed to normalize therapy and dismantle the stigma around mental health care. Through a series of colorful, playful yet poignant illustrations, it reframes therapy as an act of courage, not weakness.
Insight Society often praises physical strength and resilience, but neglects the quiet battles we fight inside our minds. Many carry emotional weight in silence, believing vulnerability is weakness. The truth: acknowledging our feelings and seeking professional help is a brave, life-changing step toward healing.
Creative Approach The campaign uses bold typography, soft pastel backgrounds, and approachable illustrations to contrast the heaviness of the message with a light, hopeful visual style. This makes the subject feel safe and inviting, encouraging viewers to take action without fear or shame.
Visual Language
Illustrations: Friendly, minimal characters interacting with brains as objects of care, comfort, and openness.
Color Palette: Pastels (pinks, blues, yellows) convey warmth and calm, with pops of neon for urgency in the call-to-action.
Typography: Strategic emphasis on key emotional words (“OUT,” “WEIGHT,” “THERAPY,” “TODAY”) to anchor the viewer’s focus.
Symbols & Icons: Doodles, stars, puzzle pieces, hearts — representing thoughts, emotions, and the interconnected nature of mental health.
Key Messages in the Series:
"Let them out" – Release your thoughts and emotions.
"Bad feelings also have symptoms" – Emotional pain deserves care just like physical pain.
"Best feeling ever? Just came out of therapy" – Therapy leaves you lighter.
"Open up your thoughts" – Vulnerability is strength.
"The weight too much" – You don’t have to carry it alone.
Call to Action : Every piece drives the same action: "Schedule therapy today" — reframing therapy as proactive health care, not a last resort.
Tone : Empathetic, approachable, uplifting, and stigma-free.
